Recipes!!!

I'm not sure if anyone on my friends list will be able to help with this, but I would appreciate an attempt. Later in the month at one of my jobs we'll be having a Christmas thing. It's going to be a normal work day but we're all bringing in treats, like dips or snacks or something. I've been searching the web and found some interesting things that I might try but I was wondering if anyone has any really good recipes that I could get some real feedback on.

I would prefer they be either vegetarian or vegan because I work with 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan, and while I know they will bring accomadating food I would like to bring some as well. Anyone got any good cookie recipes or square recipes? I want to bring something sweet but dips or other snacky foods are good too.

Kay, thanks LJ friends.

Spinach dip in a loaf of sourdough is always a hit!

I actually don't really like that spinach dip loaf, if it's the same one I'm thinking of. But you did give me a good idea. My mom makes an awesome one with cream cheese and spices inside bread...that's sounding mighty good right about now. :P

Yeah, I am not a fan of spinach either, but I figured I would throw the idea out there.

It's weird because I actually love spinach, but that particular dip doesn't do it for me. Ah well.
Don't you love Christmas? A time for stuffing yourself stupid.

a good recipe community on livejournal is [info]vegancooking
if you look in their memories for cookies etc you should be able to find something nice!

I don't have anything handy at the moment but I find vegweb to be a pretty good recipe source..

i'd proffer my personal recipe for lasagne, but it's not for hardcore vegetarians, because it has beef in it. and cheese.
